Pinner Bowmen

Moving to the Tithe Farm Social Club in 1982, the original dedicated membership of six quickly expanded, with new enthusiasts taking up the sport, recruited from within the main club and local residents. The club quickly established a good reputation competing and winning many county and national competitions. Many of today’s archers are former county and national competition winners and the club can boast one member having been part of the National Squad.

Shooting takes place on Monday evenings (indoors during the winter and outdoors during the Summer) together with several Sunday afternoons. The current membership is in excess of 40 archers, with new members joining each year after completion of the successful Beginners course. Members several of whom now hold teaching and coaching certificates run this during June & July. A 6 session course is run at the end of May / beginning of June, dates to be confirmed.Pinner Bowmen have 4 qualified Coaches one of whom is a County Coach.

The course sessions are held on Monday evenings, commencing at approximately 7.30 until 10.00 p.m

Cost is £30 per person for the full course (all necessary equipment is provided) discounts are available for families and / or persons living at the same address. Minimum age is 10 years old and all juniors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The club can accommodate both Recurve and Long Bow disciplines (sorry no compounds)

Involvement within the county has lead to three of our members holding positions on the County Committee and all their meetings are held at the Tithe Farm Club House. In addition to shooting activities, our members have in the past supported the main clubs Sports & Social Fun days and had a regular team in the former skittles league. The Archery Darts Competition, takes place at regular intervals to raise awareness of the sport and liaise with other sections of the club.
